Their actions brought the PYP community together to reflect on the importance of kindness in everyday life. Students actively engaged by writing letters of appreciation, participating in interviews, and sharing ideas on fostering kindness. These activities encouraged reflection on how kindness impacts the community while showcasing PYP Learner Profile attributes such as caring, communicators, and reflective. The event highlighted how small acts of kindness can inspire change, leaving the PYP community motivated to continue spreading kindness in their daily lives.

PYP Assembly: Fostering Skills, Concepts, and Action Through Fun and Collaboration

The focus of the assembly was on the essential elements of the PYP curriculum, particularly honing in on skills, concepts, and the importance of action. Through interactive discussions, students explored how these elements shape their learning journeys. The assembly also featured videos showcasing actions taken by students in various contexts, sparking a meaningful dialogue on how individual and collective actions can make a positive impact. The combination of thoughtful discussions and joyful activities made the assembly a well-rounded experience that left students feeling inspired and motivated.

Halloween Week 2024 in DP/CP
18 Nov 2024From October 28th to October 31st, the 11th-grade Diploma Programme students at European School organized “Halloween Week” as part of their Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) program. This initiative combined festive enjoyment with meaningful engagement, fostering a sense of community and creativity within the school. The week began on Monday with the revival of the traditional Halloween custom of "Trick or Treat," led by Salome Elizbarashvili, Mariam Chakvetadze, and Georgii Chelebadze. Before the commencement of classes, they distributed candies and sweets to students and staff, extending warm Halloween greetings and establishing an atmosphere of celebration. This thoughtful activity set a positive tone for the week, ensuring a cheerful start to the school day. On Tuesday, the focus shifted to skill-building with the launch of a "Spooky Crochet Course," facilitated by Vasilisa Pyskunova. This workshop provided participants with the opportunity to learn the intricate art of crochet while crafting Halloween-themed designs. The course has continued beyond the initial event, enabling students to nurture their creativity in an engaging and enjoyable manner.

13 Nov 2024On November 5, ASAS held an inspiring assembly featuring Dr. Brice Bomo, who explored the cultural richness of diverse nations and highlighted the importance of cultural identity and international citizenship. Dr. Bomo’s presentation encouraged thought-provoking reflections on individuality, customs, and cultural heritage, leaving a lasting impression on students.

Trip to the Museum of Zoology
10 Nov 2024"As part of their exploration of the unit - Where We Are in Place and Time - IB PYP grade 4C students visited the Museum of Zoology at Tbilisi State University. As part of their inquiry the students were learning about discoveries in the field of biology and zoology and the museum was a perfect place for them to find answers to many questions. The students were able to see over 5000 objects including unique butterflies, insects, reptiles, birds, and mammals. As an integration with the Georgian B language class, the students bade sketches of different animals and birds exhibited in the museum and with the help of the Georgian teacher labeled them in Georgian. The students were fascinated by the wonderful collection they observed in the museum and learned more about the importance of discoveries in the field of Zoology."
