We are the First CIS Accredited School in Georgia
08 Sep 2019On September 6, a very important whole staff meeting was held at the European School. This year, ES became the first CIS accredited school in Georgia and during the meeting commendations and recommendations given by the CIS were discussed. Sophio Bazadze-the School Director identified new strategic goals and presented an action plan. Brice Bomo-the Head of IB Programmes and Riz Khan –IB MYP Head introduced their visions and shared their plans with the audience. Action plans of the new academic year were presented by the PYP Program Coordinator Dinara Rysmagambetova, the Director of the American High School Irma Barbakadze and the Heads of Departments.

Workshop for the MYP Teachers
06 Sep 2019The European School is committed to supporting professional development of the teachers. Two – day workshop was delivered on September 4-5 to train MYP teachers. The main focus of the training sessions was teaching at the MYP, MYP philosophy and how to reach the highest teaching standards in this programme. The workshop was conducted by the new head of the MYP Programme Riz Khan, who recently joined the school staff. Educational and meaningful workshop with practical values was very engaging and effective for the participants.

Its worldwide recognized accreditation is a demonstration of high-quality international education offered by the school, facilitating the acceptance of students’ transcripts with colleges and universities.

United Nations Assembly
02 Jul 2019On July 1, the “United Nations Assembly" was completed by the NGO “Multinational Georgia for Strengthening Democratic Values" at the “European School". At the closing ceremony of the event 5 best results were identified from the resolution projects submitted by the delegates. The projects were awarded with 1000, 500 and 250 GEL, the authors will start working about there projects from September. At the closing ceremony were also awarded leaders, delegates, invited speakers and supporters. Representatives of different organizations and embassies wished the success to the delegates. Music was arranged by the rock band of the center of arts and culture of Abkhazia called “Dream”.

Big Success of the ES Robotics Club in the US
01 Jul 2019The ES students from Robotics Club , accompanied by their supervisors Davit Nozadze and Irina Kochlamazishvili, travelled to the US and took part in Genius Olympiad hosted by the State University of New York at Oswego. Among the teams from 75 countries and 35 states three teams from the European School were competing. Genius Olympiad promotes natural sciences and provides understanding and solutions to environmental problems. Our students presented a firefighting robot which had a goal to extinguish fire and save lives in a limited period of time. They achieved success and took the fourth place among the best ten teams. In the end, the ES students: Luka Jenevis, Giorgi Dighmelashvili , Levan Kotishadze,Vakhtang Lemonjava and Nikoloz Kobeshavidze visited different sightseeing and got impressed, especially after the tour to Niagara Falls.

CLASS OF 2019 GRANTED UNPRECEDENTED AMOUNT OF FUNDING
01 Jul 2019Our seniors have just graduated and are about to pursue their degrees at leading universities around the world. Not only did they secure admissions, but they also received an unprecedented amount of funding. Overall, the class of 2019 scored $1,420,605 USD in scholarships and financial aid for the first year of their degree courses (which translates to 5,682,420 for the duration of their studies).

STEM Fest 2019
13 Jun 2019On June 9, IYIPO organized an innovative festival STEM Fest 2019 at the shopping and entertainment city-East Point. Talented students from private and state schools presented various activities and scientific projects. The visitors had an opportunity to view thematic stands and take part in innovative experiments. The ES students from Robotics Club alongside with 50 interesting projects of the festival presented 3 different projects developed at the club. The goal of the festival is to promote natural sciences and their role in education.
