Our new 6th-grade students, who have just joined the American School of Advanced Studies family, found the beginning of the academic year somewhat challenging. To help them bond with each other and their teachers, we organized a cultural excursion to Dzalisa, an ancient Roman site in Georgia. Dzalisa is significant for its well-preserved mosaics, thermal baths, and insights into Roman urban life, offering a unique glimpse into the ancient world.

The European School recently hosted a special workshop for parents new to the Primary Years Programme (PYP).  Led by PYP Coordinator Tina Gugushvili, the session introduced parents to the PYP framework, which emphasizes inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to explore and engage with the world around them. The workshop also provided an overview of ManageBac, the digital platform used for communication, assessment, and progress tracking throughout the school year.

Extracurricular Clubs Fair at the European School was a huge success!  From the thrilling Robots Show to the energetic Zumba dance we had something for everyone. Students explored the magic of storytelling in the Reading Club, enjoyed fencing in special masks, and unleashed their creativity in our Art workshops featuring ceramics, felt crafting, etc.

On September 23rd, the European School’s University and Career Counseling Office (UCCO) welcomed Hannah Mendlowitz, Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Yale University, to our brand-new campus. Her informative and insightful session offered a glimpse into Yale’s holistic admissions process, rich academic curricula, and vibrant residential culture.

This summer, the American School of Advanced Studies continued to support our students in their pursuit of growth and skill development. We proudly share the experiences of several students who embarked on remarkable journeys abroad, attending programs at St Edward's School in Oxford and Fettes College in Edinburgh, Scotland.

We are pleased to inform you that teachers from our school attended the annual Euroclassical Conference organized by the European Association of Classical Languages. This year's conference was held at Villa Falconieri in Italy, hosted by Accademia Vivarium Novum.

On Saturday, July 6th, the European School attended a picnic organized by the U.S. Embassy to celebrate the Independence Day of the United States. The event embraced American traditions, food, and music.

The European School bid a resounding farewell to its Middle Years Programme MYP graduates (Grades 10A-D) at a graduation ceremony buzzing with pride and inspiration. The event resonated with heartfelt speeches. Graduates themselves took centre stage, sharing their journeys and aspirations. Teachers, who had nurtured their growth, added their voices to the celebration.

The end-of-the-year assembly of ASAS was a great success. It was a celebration of students' achievements and talents, an opportunity to recognize their exceptional academic performance and participation in extracurricular activities.
