Alumni Homecoming
12 Jan 2019The European School organized an Annual Alumni Homecoming on December 29. The reunion gave our alumni an opportunity to join the charity campaign of Georgia Red Cross Society “Give Warmth”. Irakli Kikoria and Nanuka Goguadze-former and future presidents of the Alumni Association hosted the event. They summed up activities of past years and shared future plans with the school community. Despite the cold weather, acts of kindness, hot chocolate, students’ performances, New Year’s fireworks, happiness in the eyes of the disabled members of the Paraorchestra, and the involvement of the European School Alumni association along with the rest of the community who brought enthusiasm and love made the day even more special.

Christmas Gifts for the Children at Iashvili Hospital
30 Dec 2018Before the holidays started, PYP kids, parents and teachers donated to the charity action organized by the PYP. We prepared packs of presents with candies, stationery and clothes. Our charity team went to the Iashvili Children's Central Hospital with all of the gifts and gifted them to the kids with leukemia. They were happy and sent big thanks to the European School students. Together we create our future full of joy and love!

Toys for the Tserovani School
27 Dec 201811th graders of the American High school decided to contribute to charity. With the help of the whole European School, they collected various toys and brought them to Tserovani School. Students were accompanied by their teachers - Ana Khutsidze, Beso Kiknadze and Ana Chaghiashvili. They took a tour around the school; saw their library, gym and computers room. Students had a conversation with the school director about the problems of their school. Our pupils decided to continue helping the school in the future and enrich the school library with new and interesting books.

Training by Microsoft
27 Dec 2018On December 26, Microsoft's official representatives in Georgia conducted training for the teachers of the European School about using educational technologies. Microsoft Georgia, with the support of its Educational Business Development Manager, Mr. David Tchiaberashvili, formulated a special training course, which consists of three main parts: using OneNote app throughout the teaching process; implementing Microsoft Teams for improving teamwork and coding using Minecraft. The approach and methods of Microsoft for applying various technologies to the learning process have always been a top priority for the European School and will always be.

A New-Year Art Workshop
26 Dec 2018Department of Arts at the European School conducted a special workshop where teachers and administration of our school had an opportunity to relax, have fun and express their creativity by painting New-year themed artworks. In the end, participants were surprised by the outcome and were excited to appreciate each other’s beautiful creations. They expressed their wishes to have more such events in the near future.

Christmas-themed “Nutcracker” Show
26 Dec 2018On December 26, our little nutckrackers wished their parents and teachers merry Christmas and a happy New Year with the magical performance. Our children danced, sang and had a lot of fun. In the end, they were more than happy to see Santa Claus who paid a surprise visit to them.

A Premiere of the motion picture "Once in Tbilisi or after 1000 years"
23 Dec 2018On December 23, Pushkin's Club at the European school presented a film "Once in Tbilisi or after 1000 years". This project was initiated and executed by Ms. Natalia Mikeladze and Ms. Eliso Adamia. The roles in the film were played by our pupils from the Pushkin's Club. The event was attended by the filmmakers, the actors and their parents, the school management team and invited guests. The film received rave reviews from the audience and our little actors and production team were commended for their great work.
