The Exhibition component of Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is a fundamental subject within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Its purpose is to cultivate student’s metacognitive and conceptual thinking, prompting them to reflect on the very nature and essence of knowledge.
The Exhibition component of TOK, requires students to select an IA (Internal Assessment) Prompt Question and connect it to three specific objects. Students must logically justify the relevance of these objects to the question and provide evidence to support their main points.
The TOK Public Exhibition Day serves two important goals. Firstly, it offers the rest of the school community a clear understanding of what TOK entails and raises awareness about this subject.
Secondly, it empowers and encourages our current DP (Diploma Programme) students. Additionally, pre-DP students gain insight into the subject and understand the kind of work they will be doing in the future. Overall, it provides a valuable platform for knowledge exchange.
