AHS Advanced Placement Classes Visit the Georgian National Museum
On Wednesday, December 13, American High School students from AP Comparative Government and Politics (Grade 12) and AP European History (Grades 10 and 12) toured the Georgian National Museum. They visited Soviet Occupation Museum while their teacher Dr. Natia Phiphia delivered a mini-lecture about the Georgian National Independence Movement and Georgian Soviet dissidents. Also, they viewed exhibitions regarding ancient Georgian weapons and clothing. The visual materials, specifically cultural anthropological sources allowed them the opportunity to examine the methods they will need while reconstructing history.
