The European School Students Succeed in Karate
On March 24-25, 2018, Georgian Karate Federation hosted the “Open Tbilisi 2018” Karate championship. Natia Tutberidze and Ana Darchiashvili, American High School grade 10 students successfully participated in the championship.
Natia Tutberidze earned a gold medal in the 14-15-year-old age category.
Ana Darchiashvili earned a gold medal in the 16-34-year-old category.
Both of them are training under the supervision of the European School Karate Club trainer and Vice-President of Georgian Karate Federation, Grigol Darchiashvili.
“The Championship was well-organized. We were given the chance to show our abilities. I am glad that I tried and succeeded,” said Natia.
“Even though my competitors were very experienced, I was able to showcase my skills and win. I also appreciate the fact that our Academic Director, Sophio Bazadze, came to attend the championship,” said Ana.
The Academic Director of the European School awarded medals to the students.
