Guest Speaker Visit: Ben Rees Inspires Through the Power of Writing

On April 3rd, students had the opportunity to attend an inspiring and intellectually rich session led by Ben Rees, a distinguished writer, philosopher, and educator. With a diverse academic background in philosophy and psychology—and teaching experience spanning Europe, the U.S., and Asia—Ben delivered a powerful talk on the role of writing in shaping human experience and connection.

In his presentation, Ben explored how writing serves as a bridge between our inner lives and the shared world around us, emphasizing its enduring impact on relationships, understanding, and personal growth across time and cultures.

The event took place at 11:00 AM in the Main Conference Hall, Building C (2nd Floor), with Grade 11 students in attendance. The session was made possible thanks to the efforts of Mr. Giorgi Vachnadze, who teaches 11th grade at ASAS and served as the lead organizer of the event.

We are grateful for such enriching initiatives that continue to broaden students’ horizons and foster deeper engagement with the world of ideas.
