This year’s Science Week in the Primary Years Programme was a great success, bringing together PYP classes who participated in science shows throughout the entire week under the guidance of the PYP Student Engagement Coordinator. From Monday to Friday, our learning spaces were transformed into lively mini-laboratories where curiosity led the way and students explored the wonders of science through engaging demonstrations and hands-on experiments.

On November 20, Grade 4 and 5 students proudly celebrated UNESCO Philosophy Day with a special event, PYPTalks, in the main hall, where selected students presented thoughtful, creative speeches to the school community.

IB PYP 3AE students learned about mythologies from both Georgian and foreign countries. They watched various video materials, researched information, and created projects. On November 11, guest speaker Nino Kakhiani visited the students and shared interesting facts about Greek and Georgian mythology, answering the students' questions.

The European School was in the Halloween spirit - fun, energy, pumpkins, happy Superheroes, Fairies, Witches, Ghosts, and other interesting characters walking around. Excited faces were seen everywhere as children posed for photographs.

This week, our PYP students celebrated Digital Citizenship Week through engaging and collaborative activities! From playing Digital Passport games that build online safety and media literacy skills, to creating Kahoot quizzes hosted by Grade 5C for other classes, and designing creative “All About Me” posters to reflect on responsible online behavior — our learners explored what it truly means to be safe, respectful, and responsible digital citizens.

Grade 2 students proudly celebrated Cultural Diversity and Global Citizenship by presenting their summative projects for the unit “Who We Are.” Students explored their unique identities and the rich diversity within their classroom community. 

The PYP community celebrated knowledge, skills, and partnerships through the annual Three-Way Conferences, where PYP learners, parents, and teachers reflected on achievements and set goals for further growth.

As part of their inquiries about puberty, the students visited Building B's library and conducted an interview with DP students. During the interview, Maryam, Deren, and Suhani talked with our fifth graders about their transition to MYP from PYP and various social and emotional changes accompanying it. They gave some valuable advice and answered the questions of the fifth graders. The students really enjoyed the meeting and are excited to go to MYP!
