Student Initiative Turns Passion for Economics into Published Guidebook

At our school, we believe that true learning goes beyond the classroom — and our students continue to prove it. We are proud to share the inspiring story of Mariam Khurodze and Elizabed Arveladze, two dedicated 11th graders who turned their passion for AP Economics (both Macro and Micro) into a published student guide designed to support and motivate their peers.

With the expert guidance and supervision of their teachers, Nino and Mariam Saghareishvili, Mariam and Elizabed worked tirelessly to compile essential notes, explanations, and learning strategies into a comprehensive and accessible resource. Their book not only simplifies key economic concepts but also aims to spark interest in the subject among younger students.

Following the official presentation of their guidebook, Mariam and Elizabed led engaging sessions with 9th and 10th graders, highlighting the real-world relevance of economics and encouraging them to explore the subject with confidence and curiosity.

In a generous and thoughtful gesture, the students donated copies of their book to the school library, expanding access to valuable study materials for all. Their initiative has already begun to foster greater academic interest and collaboration within the school community.

We are incredibly proud of Mariam and Elizabed, and deeply grateful to our dedicated teachers who support and inspire students to achieve beyond expectations. Our school remains committed to encouraging such meaningful student-led projects—and celebrating the spirit of learning they bring.
