Student Success Story: Andria Laitadze's Academic Journey
We are delighted to share the inspiring success story of our former student, Andria Laitadze, who spent the 9th and 10th grades at the European School. Andria’s academic journey is a testament to hard work, dedication, and the robust educational foundation provided by our institution.
In the 10th grade, Andria chose to take an elective, accelerated course called “Pre-AP” Latin. This challenging class required students to start school an hour earlier than usual. Throughout the year, Andria developed a profound understanding of Latin grammar and Roman society, thanks to this rigorous program.
In the fall of the same year, Andria applied to the prestigious Milton Academy and was admitted in March. Upon starting at Milton Academy, he opted for the Latin 2/3 course, which covered grammar at an accelerated pace. By the second semester, students were reading original Latin texts, further deepening their linguistic skills.
At the beginning of the second semester, Andria was invited to participate in the National Latin Exam (NLE), an opportunity he eagerly accepted. The exam, held in February under teacher supervision, was meticulously graded by the NLE organization over the course of a month. Andria achieved the highest possible score and was awarded a medal, a notable accomplishment as Milton Academy was the only school to achieve this distinction.
Andria attributes this remarkable achievement to the solid education he received during his 10th grade at the European School’s American School of Advanced Studies. The knowledge and skills he gained here made his transition to learning Latin at Milton Academy much smoother and more successful.
Andria’s story exemplifies the exceptional education and opportunities provided by the European School. We are proud of his achievements and confident that he will continue to excel in his academic pursuits.
