Successful Completion of Exchange Program with AKS Lytham Independent School

We are excited to announce the successful completion of the exchange program between the American School of Advanced Study and AKS Lytham Independent School, held from March 7–15, 2025. This enriching experience provided our students with an exceptional opportunity to explore British culture, engage in academic activities, and forge lasting connections.

The participants included students from grades 9-12:

The group was expertly supervised by Academic Dean Natela Tevzadze and History Teacher Giorgi Barnavbishvili, whose guidance and support were instrumental throughout the exchange program.

The program began with a fascinating excursion to England.The exchange continued with interactive academic and extracurricular activities at AKS Lytham. From attending classes to engaging in sports and participating in a classical studies competition, our students showcased their dedication and curiosity. They also had the unique opportunity to lead workshops for younger students, sharing Georgian culture and traditions.

A highlight of the visit was the lecture, Mythica: In Search of the Real Women Behind Homer’s Myths, held on March 13th. This captivating talk left a profound impression on all participants, sparking lively discussions and deepening their understanding of ancient literature.

The program concluded with our students delivering presentations to the Prep School classes, enthusiastically sharing their experiences and knowledge about Georgian culture, school life, and traditional games.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the teachers and staff at AKS Lytham for their hospitality and dedication to making this exchange a memorable experience. We are immensely proud of our students for their enthusiasm, leadership, and willingness to engage in this incredible cultural and academic journey.

We have signed a memorandum of understanding with AKS Lytham Independent School, ensuring that our collaboration will continue into the future. Next time, we look forward to hosting our colleagues and some of their students from England, further strengthening our partnership and cultural exchange.
