AHS tour at Georgian National Museum
On Tuesday, November 21 nineteen students of Grades 8 and 9 with Mr. Giorgi Tchumburidze and Mr. Joseph Blake toured the Georgian National Museum as a continuation of their World History classes. Accompanied by a museum guide, they explored Georgia’s ancient gold, silver and precious stone treasures and coins, the development of man from the Paleolithic to Neolithic Age, coupled with medieval armory, Georgian period clothing, and the Soviet Occupation of Georgia Exhibition.
Mariam Chakhnashvili, Grade 8 stated “The exhibitions brought to life the topics that we have been exploring in the development of man from the old stone age to Egypt, Greece, Rome, and China. It was fascinating.”
