ASAS 7th Graders Embark on a Memorable Educational Excursion to Bolnisi and Dmanisi
The 7th graders at ASAS embarked on an enriching excursion to the historic regions of Bolnisi and Dmanisi, joined by Academic Dean Natela Tevzadze, Homeroom Teacher Lulu Rodonaia, and several supportive parents. This one-day trip became a blend of friendship, exploration, and learning.
In Bolnisi, students visited the Bolnisi Sioni Cathedral, one of the oldest standing churches in Georgia, dating back to the 5th century. Here, they marveled at the ancient inscriptions and architecture, deepening their understanding of early Christian art and culture. The journey continued to Dmanisi, a renowned archaeological site where the oldest human remains in Eurasia were discovered. Students explored the significance of the site, learning about early human migration and how Dmanisi changed the way we understand human evolution.
The trip was more than just an educational venture—it strengthened bonds among the students, nurtured curiosity, and gave them a hands-on experience with Georgia’s rich history, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
