Georgian Youth in Global Affairs

On March 3-9, the European School students participated in the international program “Georgian Youth in Global Affairs”.

In New York City and Washington DC, Students visited:

  • The United Nations headquarters
  • The Office of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED)
  • The European Parliament Liaison Office (EPLO)
  • The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMP)
  • The Georgian Embassy to the United States
  • The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS)
  • The American Friends of Georgia

During these visits, students met representatives of these organizations, and held discussions about the role of EPLO in facilitating the development and strengthening of relations between the U.S. Congress and the European Parliament on transatlantic legislative and political issues, regional consequences of the war in Ukraine, and other global issues.
