Lectures and Seminars

On November 18, 2021, in the framework of the cycle of lectures and seminars organized by the American High School, the teacher of Georgian Language and Literature Ketevan Gardapkhadze and American High School student Kato Gorgadze, 11B, held a lecture about world of antiquity in Galaktion Tabidze’s works as a celebration for his birthday anniversary. This lecture encompassed the analysis of traditions concerning antiquity recipitations during the 20th century in Georgian poetry (The Blue Horns) and also the depth, diversity, and originality of Galaktion’s antiquity symbols. On the basis of the principles of the use of antique symbolism, the speakers organized antique terms presented in Galaktion’s poetry into a couple of groups and discussed them in an interesting literary review.
