Excursion to Greece 2023

On April 11-18, 2023, American High School students had an excursion to Greece. In the framework of the educational excursion, students visited cultural heritage monuments of Greece. Students were in: Sounion, Athens, Delphi, Olympia, Epidaurus, Corinth, Mycenae, Meteora Monastery, etc. They visited ancient temples, theaters, stadiums, archaeological reserves, excavations, museums and exhibitions.

On April 26th, the American History Museum presentation was held at Hilton Garden Inn, Tbilisi. Founded by the American Culture Center and supported by the Embassy of the United States of America in Tbilisi, American History Museum in Tbilisi (AHM) aims at sharing American culture and history in Georgia.

Self Governance Day

On April 27th, the European School had an energized atmosphere as it celebrated Self Governance Day and provided students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, take on roles and responsibilities of the school faculty and staff for one day, and govern almost every aspect of life at the ES. To celebrate the day of awesome experience and increase the fun, the school administration served cotton candy, organized a variety of entertainment programmes like dances and lottery play for the students.

Partnership with Les Roches expands opportunities for European School students

The American High School student Keto Lezhava, who chose hospitality in higher education, will continue her studies at Les Roches (Switzerland) - the world’s leading hospitality school. The scholarship awarded to her equals 35% of the tuition fee. Congratulations Keto! We wish you continued success!

Another successful Ivy Day for the European School

Sofiia Kikaleishvili from the European School's American High School got into two Ivy League universities - UPenn and Brown University. Over the course of four years of study, her financial award will amount to 268,000 USD. We congratulate Sofiia on achieving this important milestone.

FLEX Winner

Mariam Tavadze, an American High School student from grade 11, became the finalist of the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX). Funded by the U.S. Department of State, FLEX is a highly competitive program. Through FLEX, Mariam will spend the following year in the United States, live with a host family, and study in a U.S. high school. As a FLEX student, Mariam will act as an ambassador of Georgia and get inspired by this spirit of volunteerism to develop and implement innovative projects.

University Fair

On Friday, March 24th, the European School University Counseling Office hosted University Fair and welcomed representatives from IE University, Bocconi University, Trinity College Dublin, Constructor University (Formerly Jacobs University), and Modul University Vienna. Meeting with university admissions counselors is a valuable experience that helps students to make important decisions about where to apply and why. It is the perfect way for students to choose which course or pathway is right for them.

Georgian Youth in Global Affairs

Lytham St Annes Classical Association’s Ancient Worlds Competition 2023

American High School students have won the International Winners title at the Classics Competition 3 times in a row.  The winners of the Lytham St Annes Classical Association’s Ancient Worlds Competition 2023 became Nitsa Skhvitaridze and Andria Laitadze, AHS grades 9 and 10 students.
