Focused on meeting students’ needs in unprecedented reality, the European School managed to build a strong Distance Learning Program in a very short period of time. The European School team managed to proactively mediate challenges, estimate possible difficulties ahead, to create clear plans and make correct decisions helped the transition process to run smoothly.

Two trainings were conducted for the students of the European School during the Innovation Days. Invited speakers - Tazo Arunashvili and Diana Tevaniani spoke about industrial and graphical design.

️ March 26 was Ivy Day (the date when Ivy League universities announced their decisions for first-year applicants). It brought unprecedented success to our senior, Irakli Bezhuashvili (class of 2020), who was accepted by three Ivy League universities: Columbia University, Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania. Along with his Ivy admissions, Irakli was also accepted by the following prestigious universities in the US: UC Berkeley, Boston College, Boston University, Northeastern University, George Washington University.

31 years have passed since the beginning of Georgia's new era. On April 9th, 1989 special forces of the Soviet troops brutally dispersed a peaceful demonstration in front of the Parliament building. As a result, 21 people died. On April 9th, 1991 the Supreme Council announced the restoration of the State Independence of Georgia. On 2 nd of April American High School got a congratulatory email from Vice President of Cognia Accreditation Commission on getting accredited.

The European School is responding to the Georgian government’s decision to extend schools’ closure and from Monday, March 16th, is moving to online classes for its students from all academic programs offered at the school. The European School designed plans to minimize disruption to teaching and learning and is ready to deliver quality educational experience and provide its students with online lessons.

Good news! This week American High School was hosting Cognia Engagement Review visit for reaccreditation. The team of experts observed classes and processes in school and met with different members of school community. The American High school was awarded with the international accreditation for the next five years.
