The Gori women's choir
15 May 2023A world-famous Georgian choral conductor, the artistic director of the Gori women's choir, Ms Teona Tsiramua was invited to the European School on April 28 to conduct a joint master class together with the ES music teacher Ms Nino Chalisuri. PYP Grade 3 students were given the opportunity to interview Ms. Teona, asking the questions they had prepared about the specifics of the profession within the frames of their inquiry into the unit about 'jobs'. At the end of the meeting, the students and the musicians performed African and Georgian songs, accompanied by the drums and the guitar.

Personal Project Exhibition
11 May 2023On May 4th, the European School held the MYP Personal Project Exhibition - a celebration of hard work on a project of personal choice where students showcased their knowledge gained, goals achieved, and the development of the skills they chose to focus on.

Europe Day
08 May 2023On May 5th, traditionally, the European School celebrated Europe Day and stressed European values and principles, held a conference - European Visions, European Values for the European School Students, and a concert, bringing together multiple cultural groups of students, teachers, and parents.

Excursion to Greece 2023
03 May 2023On April 11-18, 2023, American High School students had an excursion to Greece. In the framework of the educational excursion, students visited cultural heritage monuments of Greece. Students were in: Sounion, Athens, Delphi, Olympia, Epidaurus, Corinth, Mycenae, Meteora Monastery, etc. They visited ancient temples, theaters, stadiums, archaeological reserves, excavations, museums and exhibitions.

Spring Song Festival
03 May 2023Spring Song Festival, celebrated by the PYP Programme, was a charity event filled with music, dance, flowers, and crafts, a time of appreciating music and Spring.

George Gordon Byron
03 May 2023On April 28th, MYP students from grades 9-10 held the European School’s 15th-anniversary marking event George Gordon Byron – Citizen of the World. Students talked about the life and poetry of a Romantic poet and highlighted the contribution of Lord Byron in the Greek War of Independence. Based on researched scholarly articles, they also demonstrated the poet’s ties to Greece and his spiritual connections to Georgia. The event was attended by Merabishvili Innes –an Academician, translator of Lord Byron’s poetry into Georgian, and Zurab Abashidze – a diplomat, Doctor of Political Sciences.

Kerem Aslan has become the winner of the European Shotokan Karate Championship
03 May 2023The European School student from PYP grade 5, Kerem Aslan, has become the winner of the European Shotokan Karate Championship. He was awarded a gold medal in his weight category. The 13th European Shotokan Karate Championship was held from April 27 to 30 in Kranevo and was organized by the World Shotokan Federation (WSF) and the Bulgarian National Karate Federation (BNFC).

Founded by the American Culture Center and supported by the Embassy of the United States of America in Tbilisi, American History Museum in Tbilisi (AHM) aims at sharing American culture and history in Georgia.
