The European School students were nominated to receive the title of “Young Diplomats” in Tbilisi City Assembly. The nongovernmental organization “Young Diplomats of Georgia” awards symbolically the title of “Young Diplomat” to the participants of international programs. On the same day, Tbilisi City Assembly hosted an exhibition of photos of the ES student Mikhail Kuzmid depicting his experience from European journey.

Highly ranked universities continue to visit the European School to give presentations on their programs, admission processes, and post-graduation opportunities for students.

The European School announces the academic year 2023-2024 as a green year of sustainable development. We plan to implement practices to help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources for current and future generations. The European School prepares students to lead the world toward a healthier, cleaner, more sustainable future.

IB PYP students had their  first assembly during this academic year - “IB Essential Elements and Roles and Responsibilities”. During the assembly students had a chance to get familiarized with the PYP elements - Learner Profiles, ATL Skills, Key Concepts and learned about the PYP community and the responsibilities its different members have. They also learned about the Student Council and elections procedure. The PYP learners shared their own understanding of the IB PYP elements and made different connections. Students received Learner Profile stickers at the end of the assembly and were able to reflect on the meaning of the attributes they got. 

On Friday, September 22nd, the European School hosted an annual Extra-Curricular Club fair that allowed students to see which clubs are available after school and speak to the teachers involved. From the Engineering Club or the Chinese Club to the Felt Club and many more, everyone could find suitable activity at the Club Fair 2023!

On Tuesday, September 19, a meeting was held with David Hernandez de la Fuente, a professor of classical philology at the Complutense University of Madrid. The meeting was organized by the American School of Advances Studies (ASAS). The professor spoke about the achievements of the Spanish education system, the opportunities for foreign students to receive higher education in Spain, and the future plans for cooperation with the Kingdom of Spain and Georgia in the scientific research and educational fields.

On the first day, Zuzu, Mini, Sunny, Lu, and funny clowns opened the doors of the European Kindergarten to the youngest learners. The kids liked the warm welcome. The joyous celebration reverberated in every corner of the European Kindergarten.

Today, the European School welcomed its students to start the academic year 2023 – 2024. The first day of school at ES was abuzz with excitement. The energy was palpable at both buildings. Happy faces, warm smiles, ready learners everywhere !!!

One of a young child’s first celebrated milestones is graduating from preschool. The preschool graduation ceremony, with its activities, awarding of diplomas, and graduation hat throwing, filled the students with pride and confidence. It was a beautiful day permeated with excitement where students demonstrated mastered skills they’ll use for the rest of their academic careers.
